Coastal Marine Activities and Coral Cover at Three Tropical Coral Reefs Around an Aceanic Island, Mauritius

Research Article

A study on marine resources (mainly coral reefs) at three selected coastal sites namely Belle Mare (BM), Flic-en- Flac (FEF) and Grand Baie (GB) around Mauritius Island (using mapping and verification survey tools). A fascinating piece of work which presents valuable insights for sustainable coastal development.

Linking the Land to the Sea Relationships: Building agricultural productive capacity, reducing pollution and restoring crucial nutrients for ecosystem recovery

Conference Proceeding

Dr. Leonard Sonnenschein

Historically we have understood the water cycle as the process of rain falling to the land and with water coalescing to streams and rivers and running back to the ocean with evapo- transpiration occurring all the time, but mostly at the ocean level with the water returning to the sky to begin the process all over.

Scope of the Journal

Journal of Marine Science Research and Technology

The journal aims to provide a complete and reliable source of information on the discoveries and current developments in all areas pertaining to marine biology and oceanography, making them easily accessible to researchers worldwide.
Journal of Marine Biology publishes results of experimental work both from laboratory and the field. The journal also aims to publish papers with novel techniques, methods and apparatus. The journal provides scope for studies of marine biology with emphasis on species performance and responses to changes in their environment and promotes the development of ecosystem-based fisheries science and management.
The journal encourages researchers to contribute to the challenges in population dynamics, assessment techniques and management approach, human dimensions and socioeconomics, and ecosystem metrics to improve fisheries science.

Journal of Marine Science Research and Technology publishes significant contributions in the fields of marine biology with a special focus on articles with an understanding of sea life, interactions between organisms and functioning of marine biosphere.

The journal deals with research on aquatic ecosystems, from microscopic phytoplankton to the largest animal on Earth, the blue whale. It includes studies on interactions between salt water organisms and their environments, often selecting a specific area of study, such as the conservation or rehabilitation of marine species. It emphasizes on biological sciences, including evolutionary, molecular and cellular biology, as well as topics in oceanography, ecology and botany. The journal covers various fields of research including biochemistry, physiology, behavior and genetics of marine plants and animals in relation to their ecology.
It also features articles on studies of ecosystems and ecological modelling including development and life cycles of marine organisms, the evolution of marine organisms, marine conservation and technologies used in the development of marine biology. The journal lays emphasis on biodiversity and population studies of marine ecosystems and the impact of global warming, ocean acidification and climate change on the marine ecosystem. The journal also includes articles on taxonomic syntheses, morphology, life history and developmental biology of marine organisms, chemical and physical oceanography, marine environment health and its relationship to human health. The journal publishes original research information on the biological organization to promote ecologically sound fisheries science and management.

Review Board

Note from Editor-in-Chief

Dr. Muhammet Turkoglu

Journal of Marine Science Research and Technology (JMSRT), a peer-reviewed journal encourages young scientists/ PhD Scholars to submit their novel, unpublished original research, reviews, short notes, etc. which are not under review process in any other journal. Moreover, as editor-in-chief of the journal I suggest young scientists/PhD Scholars to publish their scientific studies with our journal. I would like to give a warranty about positive review contribution, good quality and quick refereeing, service delivery, mail responses and quality. I want to state that this journal has good editorial board which represents different geographical regions. Journal publishes good quality articles with the excellent efforts of editorial board members. It is known that JMSRT showcases innovative and integrated approach to all aspects of marine ecosystems and management relavent to their shore/offshore environments, with a global perspective.
