Bio: Dr. Narasimalu Srikanth is leading the wind and marine renewable research in Energy research institute as a Program Director and Senior Scientist. Prior to joining NTU, He has been with the industry for 23 years such as Vestas Wind systems as a Technical director and senior specialist leading key research activities in aeromechanics specialization and also appointed as an adjunct associate professor in the school of aerospace engineering in Nanyang Technological University. Previous to these appointments, he has been with ASM Technology Singapore, a Netherlands based firm, for more than 15 years and was leading the research and development department and also with Tata engineering (TELCO) at Pune in India, focusing on design of heavy gear machinery. He received his first masters from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India in the area of design engineering and his second masters in materials engineering and his first doctoral degree (PhD) in mechanical and advanced materials engineering and his second doctoral degree in Technology Management from National University of Singapore (NUS). Dr. Narasimalu has published in more than 90 international journals and has 30 over patents related to his design & research. He has presented in several conferences, and his areas of technical interests are wind and marine turbines, offshore structures, structural health monitoring and simulation methods. He is a member of ASME, ASM, ASPE, IEEE and MRS(S).
