Bio: Dr. Ankit Gupta  completed his PhD in Life Sciences from CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India. He tested various known antibiotics on malaria parasite and investigated their mode of inhibition. Now he is pursuing his postdoctoral studies in National Institute of Health (NIH) – National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID), MD, USA. In my postdoc, I am envisioning the role of CLAG proteins in Plasmodium Surface Anion Channel (PSAC) function and their molecular assembly on the surface of infected erythrocytes (iRBCs).
